Product Manager, Bank Transfers
Stripe
Who we are
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team
The payments landscape is changing rapidly, and our team is at the forefront of this transformation. Depending on where you live, you may be used to paying with a credit card (United States), iDEAL (Netherlands), or UPI (India), among hundreds of other global payment methods. How you pay is increasingly dependent on where you are, what kind of consumer you are, and what business you're buying from.
The Local Payment Methods (LPM) team is responsible for Stripe's products outside of the US, as well as Stripe’s fastest-growing payments business: local payment methods. We help Stripe expand globally and build the payment methods that help businesses drastically increase their revenues and grow. Underpinning all of this, we also build the platform that enables us to scale and distribute payment methods efficiently.
What you’ll do
We're looking for a Product Manager to lead the Bank Transfers product. In 2025 this important product processed billions of dollars in payments volume, generated millions in revenue, and is growing at a substantial annual rate. It’s a core payment method for global AI brand-names, B2B SaaS businesses, and more.
The Bank Transfers product allows customers to pay for goods and services by pushing funds directly from their bank account. While any business with a bank account can accept Bank Transfers, only Stripe’s BT product manages the complex reconciliation processes necessary to accept payments at scale. By smoothing over these rough edges, Stripe saves merchants vast amounts of time and money. You’ll join a dedicated engineering team of nine, co-located in London, who support Bank Transfers in seven countries currently. You’ll have a mandate to expand globally, and a roadmap to support it: add new countries, improve product market fit, and grow the business as you see fit.
We’re looking for a Product Manager who can work with our users to envision the next phase of growth, own the end-to-end product strategy, and deliver it in a cross-functional context.
What you’ll own
- End‑to‑end product leadership for Bank Transfers: own the strategy, roadmap, and execution.
- Global coverage: your Bank Transfers scope spans the globe.
- Full‑stack delivery: shape API design, dashboard UX, error states, and more.
- User understanding and segmentation: drive focus and urgency by prioritising the right customer segments, and solving the most important pain points.
- Relationships with partnership managers: develop joint roadmaps with banking partners, ensuring our strategy and roadmap is feasible, aligned, and timeous.
- Collaboration with product marketing and go-to-market teams: turn your multi-quarter roadmap into compelling and actionable narratives to drive meaningful changes in business metrics.
- Metrics & experiments: own business results, define OKRs, and run experiments to prove and de-risk your strategy.
Who you are
- Users first: you enjoy working closely with users to deeply understand their business processes and pain points.
- A full‑stack PM who enjoys the technical details and user experience in equal measure.
- Comfortable with cross-functional complexity: you’ll partner closely with Engineering, Risk, Ops, Legal, and GTM.
- Data‑driven and outcome oriented: you use metrics and experiments to make tough tradeoffs.
- Builder mentality: you embrace ambiguous technical problems and enjoy shipping products that scale.
Examples of problems you’ll solve
- How should we trade off regional expansion (launching Bank Transfers in a new country) versus feature depth (improving the user experience in existing countries)?
- Which user segments are critical for us to win? Why?
- How is the market for B2B payments changing, and how should we respond? How do stablecoins affect our plans for international Bank Transfers?
- How can we improve the reconciliation engine so that our users have a more seamless UX? How can that engine autonomously improve itself over time?
- How can we augment the Stripe Dashboard to allow users to manually reconcile payments, or design workflows to do so automatically?
Why you’ll love it
- Global scope: build solutions for diverse rails and markets, not a single country product.
- Small team, big mission: you’ll own a broad charter and ship end‑to‑end solutions with a tight, experienced team.
- Career growth: technical, product, and cross‑functional leadership opportunities.
- Co-located team: in person work with your Engineering Manager and Engineering team.
Responsibilities
