About the team
FinCRO PMO is a regulatory project management team committed to execution. We proactively manage risk by driving cross functional regulatory change, delivering risk management mitigation projects and enabling safe expansion into regulated markets. We foster a collaborative and transparent environment, leading to successful cross functional engagement.
What you’ll do
As a FinCRO PMO program manager, you will develop and manage processes that help us execute on a global scale. You’ll collaborate with a wide range of cross functional partners across 1LOD and 2LOD to deliver change programs including regulatory change initiatives, geographic expansion projects and control enhancement programs with impact. The ideal candidate can distil complexity into clarity, and drive impact and velocity across teams. They are curious, driven, focused, and detail-oriented, able to influence without authority, relentless in driving to closure, and able to build strong relationships. They are strategic in approach and thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver critical regulatory change projects across all of Stripe’s regulated regions globally, navigating varying local requirements
- Deliver and manage comprehensive control enhancement programs across various risk domains within the Second Line of Defense (2LOD).
- Provide essential compliance oversight, coordination and support for global geographic expansion projects to ensure safe market entry.
- Translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable requirements for implementation.
- Develop a deep understanding of Stripe's existing controls to identify opportunities to implement efficient workflows to meet regulatory requirements.
- Establish Program Key Performance Indicators to measure the effectiveness and health of regulatory programs, proactively address program risk and issues as they arise.
- Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the regulatory change framework and operating model for the FinCRO PMO.
- Support the strategic expansion of FinCRO PMO by leveraging best practices and standards established by the EMEA program.
- Proactively manage project initiatives and present detailed progress updates to FinCRO senior leadership.
- Partner closely with Product & Business, Operations, Risk & Compliance, and Affiliates teams to strengthen oversight and ensure robust controls are in place.
- Develop and manage scalable processes that enable the team to execute with high velocity and clarity.
Who you are

Minimum requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in risk and compliance domains (e.g. regulatory program delivery) in financial services or fintech companies.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-company projects and scalable program maintenance in a regulated environment.
- Risk management experience navigating complex challenges and requirements.
- Strong program management experience including demonstrated ability to build new programs from the ground up.
- Self starter who has the ability to work autonomously and experience working in a fast paced global organization.
- Exceptional cross functional stakeholder management with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence without authority.
Preferred qualifications
- Understanding of compliance and regulatory obligations, including PSD2 or evolving global AML / KYC regulations.
- Experience working within regulated financial services entities, including direct engagement with regulatory functions, Boards or Regulators.
- Highly inquisitive, innovative and demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to quickly understand complex problems and exercise sound judgement to find well-balanced solutions.
- Experience in organisational change management to help teams adopt new processes and controls.
- Ability to tackle ambiguous situations and operate efficiently and independently in fast-paced, high-volume and technology-driven environments.
This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).
The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €100,000 - €150,000. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
