Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

The Renewals Team is a specialized strategic function that partners with Stripe’s Global Sales organization to secure and expand revenue. We act as a critical analytical and operational bridge between multiple cross functional partners to ensure a seamless deal lifecycle for our most important users.

Our team is defined by rigorous thinking, data driven decision making, and a user first approach to complex commercial challenges. As a dedicated partner, we provide the market intelligence and strategic insights necessary to help account teams navigate renewals with accuracy and speed, directly influencing Stripe’s long term growth and product strategy.

What you’ll do

As a Renewals Specialist, you will partner with Sales, Customer Success, and internal stakeholders to drive revenue retention and expansion. You will collaborate with account teams to develop and present compelling proposals, ensuring large scale contracts are quoted accurately and renewed on schedule. We are seeking a proactive professional who excels in ambiguous, fast growing environments and can solve complex problems with limited oversight.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strategic and analytical approach to identifying cross functional challenges and building consensus across the organization to meet aggressive targets. You will be responsible for crafting sophisticated deal structures, managing complex initiatives, and utilizing data to drive informed decision making. Our ideal candidate has a proven ability to design scalable processes and work effectively with internal partners to execute against fluctuating volumes while maintaining a high standard of operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with existing Stripe customers and Stripe Account Executives to develop and execute sales strategies to renew and expand Stripe’s revenue
  • Partner on deal strategy and commercial negotiations for large, complex renewals
  • Research user data and history and make recommendations based on prior activity
  • Audit Sales feedback and user account signals to identify evolving business needs that drive renewal, expansion, and upsell growth.
  • Assist with complex quote creation
  • Identify and refine scalable workflows to drive operational efficiency through automation, tooling enhancements, and strategic outsourcing where appropriate.
  • Cultivate an environment of operational excellence characterized by high individual ownership, ethical integrity, and a collective commitment to a positive team dynamic.
  • Report on a regular weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadence to key stakeholders, with a strong analytical approach and crisp communication style.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, with the comfort and agility to collaborate internally with cross-functional teams and externally with a diverse portfolio of users.
  • Success partnering with key stakeholders across sales, product and engineering to surface and improve internal processes
  • Sound business judgment, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and influencing results
  • Experience working within a high-growth, technology company with the ability to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization
