About the team

The Talent Mobility team plays a crucial role in consulting with individual Stripes, leaders, and business units in navigating the intricacies of travel, temporary moves, permanent relocations, immigration, and career development/internal mobility opportunities. Serving as a strategic lever to achieve our talent goals, Talent Mobility facilitates the business in hiring and deploying talent globally and supports Stripes in gathering experiences to refine their skills. This is achieved through the design and management of comprehensive Global Mobility, Immigration, and Internal Mobility programs that foster seamless user experiences.

What you’ll do

We’re looking for a Talent Mobility Specialist to deliver an excellent experience to users and partners as well as craft and iterate on sustainable, reliable and efficient Talent Mobility processes. This role will play a key role in supporting the administration and coordination of Stripe’s talent mobility programs. This position focuses on ensuring the smooth execution of programs and case management while maintaining compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations. The Talent Mobility Specialist works closely with Stripe’s Talent Mobility Program Managers and Business Partners, as well as other partners, including the People team and external vendors to deliver high-quality services and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with external vendors to initiate and ensure all cases are filed and completed accurately and timely
  • Assist with management of tracking system(s) and collaborate with the team to ensure process improvement.
  • Work closely with Talent Mobility Program Managers, support the administration and coordination of Stripe’s talent mobility programs to deliver high-quality mobility services.
  • Assist in building and iterating on existing processes that can scale across Talent Mobility programs.
  • Focus on ensuring the smooth execution of programs and case management while maintaining compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations. Prepare reports, audits, and documents.
  • Assist in document creation for Stripes, including business travel requests letters.
  • Assist in the administration and coordination of employee mobility, including offer/assignment letter documentation, work permits, visas, and employment contracts.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the smooth transition of employees to their host countries.
  • Maintain accurate employee mobility documentation ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Support the development and implementation of talent mobility policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance and all record keeping requirements with applicable immigration laws, tax regulations, and employment legislation related to employee mobility.

  • Deliver an excellent experience to candidates and employees engaged in Talent Mobility programs.
  • Serve as a point of contact and resource for employees regarding queries, policies, and benefits.
  • Facilitate communication between Recruiting, HR, and other internal teams to ensure candidates and employees have an excellent experience when interacting with Talent Mobility programs.

Minimum requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience, preferable in the immigration and/or global mobility space
  • Knowledge of US immigration laws, tax regulations, and relocation processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees and stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Workday) and/or other tools used for talent mobility management.
  • Cultural sensitivity and awareness of cross-cultural differences.

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, International Business, or a related field or relevant work experience.
  • Professional certifications in global mobility, such as GMS (Global Mobility Specialist) or CRP (Certified Relocation Professional) desired.
A remote location, in most cases, is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently or plan to live.

The annual US base salary range for this role is $104,000 - $156,000. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
