About the team
Link by Stripe re-imagines how merchants and consumers do business—delivering higher conversion, lower cost for our merchants by streamlining payments for consumers across businesses. Link ecosystem org is responsible for the Link consumer and merchant experience. Our goal is to create the most effective checkout experiences on the internet, delivering delight to consumers and revenue to merchants at the same time. For consumers, the journey begins at the point of purchase where Link makes it fast and easy for them to complete the purchase while also providing peace of mind and transparency on their purchase through features such as purchase protections. For merchants, Link is a conversion driver while also enabling merchants to reduce their payments costs.
What you’ll do
We are looking for a impact-oriented engineering manager who is passionate about building polished, high performing Link experiences and excited to grow our Link consumer adoption across Stripe’s payment UIs (Elements, Checkout, Payment Links).
You will:
- Work with a wide range of systems, processes and technologies to own and solve problems from end-to-end
- Foster a culture of intellectual curiosity and laser focus for delivering measurable impact for team and org level OKRs
- Build experiences for consumer experiences on a variety of businesses that range from high growth startups to leading global companies as well as across different business models, eCommerce to SaaS.
- Iterate and optimize products and features that impact millions of people and businesses around the world such as building the fastest and most seamless checkout flow
- Understand the end to end consumer funnel so that you can identify opportunities and optimize checkout experiences.
- Uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to the many codebases and processes you will encounter
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization such as product, design, infrastructure, marketing and operations

Minimum Requirements
- Have ideally 2+ years of experience managing teams that ship consumer products
- Have an entrepreneurial mindset
- Have worked on products or teams with measurable goals, and experience using A/B testing and iteration to deliver on them.
- Thrive in a highly collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Take pride in working on projects to successful completion involving a wide variety of technologies and systems
- Can put yourself in the shoes of your users and be a steward of crafting great experiences
- Enjoy working with a diverse group of people with different expertise
The annual US base salary range for this role is $195,000 - $336,500. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
