About the team

Across Strategy & Analytics, our goal is to maximize the success of Operations & Support, both in running the day-to-day business and in shaping and achieving the longer term, high effort, high value strategic priorities. In the Vendor Delivery pod, we focus on enabling the Operations Vendor Delivery team with data and observability, metrics strategy, and strategic evolution.

We are seeking an S&A Lead to help drive and enable business performance across all LoBs managed by Vendor Delivery (Workforce Management & Vendor Management). They will also enable Vendor Delivery leadership with strategic thought partnership to ensure the ongoing success of the Vendor Delivery team.

The Strategy & Analytics team maximizes and accelerates Operations’ ability to make Stripe work for our users. We aspire to be the COOs for Stripe Ops, working cross-functionally with global teams to help run the day-to-day business and articulate and achieve the longer term, high effort, high value strategic priorities. We take a data-driven approach that combines strategy, analytics and core data infrastructure to help Ops leaders solve their most complex and most important issues while also driving the business planning and operational cadence end-to-end, from strategy to goal-setting to execution.

What you’ll do

The S&A Vendor Deliver Lead will partner directly with senior Operations leadership to drive business strategy, planning, execution, and accountability across our vendor network. The role will partner deeply with stakeholders in Ops, Finance, Data Science and Vendor Delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Player/coach: there is an expectation that you will continue to deliver IC work alongside your manager responsibilities. The specific split of work will be agreed with the successful candidate and their current manager.
  • Team Management: Manage a high-performing team of analysts to drive key priorities, deliver business performance insights and leverage analytics to drive business priorities that are highly visible to Ops executives
  • Drive operational excellence: Design, optimize and drive operational reviews, leading business analysis and end to end projects with a data-driven approach; generate analytical insights which inform executives and management of opportunities, risks, and strategic priorities to take proactive actions; building a team model that will scale with the Vendor Delivery team.
  • Manage and lead projects: Initiate, scope and drive cross-functional projects at the org, regional, and global levels to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations
  • Communicate with executives: Create narratives and documents that tell the story of Vendor Management to influence senior Operations leadership and Stripe executive team decision making
  • Influence stakeholders: Influence and drive cross-functional change by partnering with stakeholders across a wide internal network including Ops, Finance, Data Science, and more
  • Surface and amplify insights: Identify the trends in our data that aren’t immediately apparent, amplify them across teams, and solve the problems we identify.

Minimum Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in strategy and operations in a high-tech growth environment, or operational experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, venture capital, or business insights / analytics roles
  • Have management experience and played a key role in building out a team
  • Keen ability to connect the big picture to minute details, toggling between them to set and operationalize strategy
  • Have strong analytical skills and a structured approach to solving unique business problems.
  • Are comfortable using SQL or navigating off-the-shelve reporting software (e.g. Looker, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience presenting business and technical content to senior stakeholders, peers and general audiences
  • Work well under pressure, with a high degree of dependability, adaptability and flexibility in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €103,900 - €155,900. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
