Our mission is to bring the joy back to running a private practice - we're building an AI powered financial operating system that simplifies financial operations, so providers can do what they do best: focus on patient care.

The healthcare payment system is a complex and inefficient maze - healthcare practices leave $125 billion in revenue uncollected each year, lost in the chaos of fragmented financial data, manual workflows, and opaque payer systems. This financial uncertainty leaves practices struggling to stay afloat, while valuable revenue slips through the cracks.

We are building the AI-powered financial operating system for healthcare practices. Our mission is to bring the joy back to running a private practice by simplifying financial operations so providers can focus on patient care. We spent 10 months working as fractional CFOs for a dozen practices, doing this work side by side with providers as we developed our product.

The Role

We're looking for an ambitious and highly-skilled founding designer who's excited to redefine what healthcare technology can look like. Healthcare software has historically been outdated, manual, and complicated. We're changing that by building AI-powered tools that are not only intelligent but also deeply intuitive, helping providers run their practices with ease.

In this role, you'll be responsible for designing the "face" of our AI platform, as well as shaping the automation strategy that operates behind the scenes. Our goal is to create a seamless experience where complex financial operations happen effortlessly, and providers are only looped in when necessary. You'll have the chance to dive into fragmented, messy systems and create thoughtful, elegant designs that make life easier for non-technical users. In addition to our software, we're starting to offer revenue recovery as a service to practices who would like to outsource it to us. This creates a a unique opportunity for a versatile designer who can shape both automated solutions and human-in-the-loop workflows, learning directly from our service operations to inform product development.

As our founding designer, you'll have the freedom to shape both our product experience and our broader brand identity, working across disciplines to create solutions that bring joy back to healthcare practices. This is an awesome opportunity for someone who loves taking ownership of ambitious projects, collaborating closely with users and team members, and solving hard problems with creativity.

This role is full-time. We're looking for candidates based in NYC.

Your Impact

As our founding designer, you'll wear multiple hats and have the opportunity to influence every aspect of our product and brand:

• Create an intuitive, AI-powered interface that transforms complex financial operations into effortless experiences for healthcare providers
• Design both automated software workflows and human-in-the-loop service experiences, using insights from our revenue recovery service to inform product development
• Architect complex data flows and financial systems into clear, approachable interfaces for non-technical users
• Design and develop our core design system that will scale as we grow
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to bring your designs to life
• Work directly alongside our revenue recovery team and healthcare providers to deeply understand operational needs and validate solutions
• Lead our automation strategy, designing experiences that streamline tasks while maintaining human connection
• Although it's not an official part of the job description, if you're interested in spending time flexing into brand, website, and visual design whenever needed for this role, there is also an opportunity to do that!

What Makes You a Great Fit

• You're excited to shape the future of our design team and lead by example – as an early team member, you'll play a key role in defining our design culture, processes, and product vision. You enjoy diving into ambiguous problems and creating clarity through design.
• You love solving complex problems with simple, intuitive solutions – **you have experience designing for complex systems and data flows, and know how to make those experiences joyful and easy to use.**You have 5-7+ years of experience as a UI/UX designer, ideally with experience working in a fast-paced startup owning work end to end. You're comfortable working cross-functionally, collaborating closely with users and engineers, and spending lots of time understanding complex systems within healthcare. You're excited to design for a non-technical audience, with a sensitivity to the realities providers face in their day-to-day work. You're comfortable with ambiguity and are able to distill large, complex problems into joyful user experiences.
