About Us:

Notion helps you build beautiful tools for your life’s work. In today's world of endless apps and tabs, Notion provides one place for teams to get everything done, seamlessly connecting docs, notes, projects, calendar, and email—with AI built in to find answers and automate work. Millions of users, from individuals to large organizations like Toyota, Figma, and OpenAI, love Notion for its flexibility and choose it because it helps them save time and money.

In-person collaboration is essential to Notion's culture. We require all team members to work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, our designated Anchor Days. Certain teams or positions may require additional in-office workdays.

About the Role:

As an Onboarding Specialist at Notion, you will help customers accelerate time-to-value by delivering packaged, repeatable onboarding solutions that can be deployed quickly and adapted to each team’s goals. This is a founding role, and you will help define the playbooks, assets, and delivery approach that will scale onboarding across segments.

You will partner with customers, Sales, Customer Success, and Product to understand the most common onboarding needs, translate them into reusable onboarding packages (templates, workspace patterns, training modules, and enablement), and deliver high-quality onboarding experiences that drive adoption.

What You'll Achieve:

  • Deliver structured onboarding engagements using standardised, repeatable packages (with clear scopes, timelines, and outcomes)

  • Configure customer workspaces using proven patterns (core use cases, IA, permissions, and member management practices)

  • Run onboarding workshops and trainings that help teams adopt Notion quickly and confidently

  • Create and maintain onboarding assets: templates, checklists, example workspaces, guides, and facilitation materials

  • Identify onboarding friction points and continuously improve the packages based on feedback, outcomes, and common requests

  • Partner with Sales and CS to align on customer goals, define success criteria, and ensure smooth handoffs post-onboarding

  • Provide guidance on workspace architecture, permissions, and security best practices

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to share customer insights and inform product improvements that reduce onboarding effort

Skills You'll Need to Bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in technical consulting, implementation, or similar customer-facing role

  • Strong project management expertise with demonstrated ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously

  • Experience in change management and driving user adoption of new technologies

  • Excellence in stakeholder management and building relationships at all levels

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with SaaS platforms and understanding of technical concepts

  • Proven track record of delivering successful customer implementations

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with workspace design and information architecture

  • Knowledge of data migration tools and methodologies

  • Understanding of API integrations and enterprise software systems

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-growth technology company

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
