At Linear, we are on a mission to bring magic back to software. To empower product teams to do their best work, we are building an issue tracking and project management tool that combines UI elegance with world-class performance. Founded in 2019, Linear has become the tool of choice for 20,000+ companies to plan and build their products.
Linear was set up as a fully remote company from the start. Today, our small but mighty team is distributed across North America and Europe. What unites us is relentless focus, fast execution, and our passion for software craftsmanship. We are all makers at heart and care deeply about the quality of our work.
Our goal is to make Linear inevitable. For product managers, engineers, startups, and enterprises, we want to create momentum around the brand and the product so that Linear feels like the only choice for building great software. This role will help cultivate that momentum.
We’re looking for someone to own growth at Linear. That includes our programs (startup, creator, affiliate), but also lifecycle marketing, performance marketing, and other growth initiatives as they emerge. Our startup and creator programs are working well, but they need the infrastructure rebuilt and more time and attention to really scale. You’ll figure out what’s working, build the systems to support it, and help us grow in a way that feels right for the brand.
We’re not interested in growth hacking. We think in sustainable programs, not quick wins, and brand always comes first.
The Marketing team is small but has an outsized impact, and we intend to keep it that way. You’ll have real influence on how Linear grows, and you’ll be encouraged to take ownership and deploy tooling and practices that help you be more effective.
What you’ll do
Own Linear's growth programs (Startup, Creator, Affiliate) and run them as scalable initiatives
Rebuild program infrastructure from the ground up. Applications, approvals, tracking, reporting, and incentive structures.
Build and deepen relationships with accelerators, VCs, and creator partners
Partner closely with Product and RevOps to influence onboarding, activation, and upgrade moments
Contribute to growth experiments across paid, lifecycle, and new channels, partnering with marketing, design, and RevOps to identify what’s working and where to double down
What we’re looking for
6+ years in growth, programs, partnerships, or a related role at a tech company
Experience building and operating programs like startup programs, creator/ambassador programs, or similar
Comfortable with ambiguity and building from scratch
Strong relationship skills. You know how to work with partners, not just manage them.
Familiarity with growth mechanics like paid acquisition, lifecycle, attribution, and experimentation
Comfortable with data. Ideally you know SQL and can dig into metrics yourself.
Systems thinker who can design processes that scale
Good judgment and taste. You can prioritize independently and know when something isn’t working.
What we offer
Interesting and challenging work
Work-life balance
Competitive salary and equity
Employee-friendly equity terms (early exercise, extended exercise)
Paid lunch and coffee during workdays
Work remotely, no commuting to the office
Paid co-working space/desk at an office
Health, dental, and vision insurance (based on country requirements)
Regular team events and offsites
5 weeks of paid vacation
4 months of paid parental leave (or more based on country requirements)
