Financial Controller - UK (4 month contract)

We’re looking for a Financial Controller to join the DICE team in London for 4 months to start at the end of January 2025.

About the role
DICE relies on valuable financial reporting to inform business strategy as we scale globally. We want to build a world class finance team, providing accurate, up-to-date financial information that is key to powering our growth as a business and setting a benchmark in the industry. Reporting to the Director of Global Financial Control, this role will be critical in coordinating business planning and development, accounting and budgeting.
You’ll Be
Managing full Trial Balance for designated territories
Delivering accurate month-end and year-end close process consistently on time
Maintaining full monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations collating workpapers from other departments to build a well documented monthly file
Approving coding and classifications on Netsuite of all financial transactions posted
Reviewing and approving operational expenditure including, but not limited to, expenses, and travel requests ensuring compliance with Company Policies
Working with the Tax Manager/LSPs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal/national reporting requirements
Timely and accurate preparation of monthly VAT packs for LSPs plus any additional local regulatory reporting, as requested, ensuring payments are made in a timely manner
Maintaining Tax account reconciliations aligning our ledger with LSP tax account balances
Assisting with Year End LSP financial ledger reconciliations and support the Financial Reporting team in finalising LSP Financial Statements
Supporting the Financial Reporting team with Year End audits, providing workpapers and documentation in a timely manner
Supporting the Account Management team providing them with historic data from Netsuite to support Renewal of Partner agreements
You Are
A qualified accountant (preferably a financial accounting focused qualification eg ACA, ACCA)
A multi-tasker who works effectively under time constraints in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
An independent and strategic thinker who takes ownership of their work.
A Commercially astute individual, capable of strategic thinking and with sound judgement
A true team player who works collaboratively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and has a highly adaptable, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset
Available to start at the end of January 2025.
You’ll Need
Proven ability to drive efficiency and process reviews across an international organisation
Experience of managing a team in a rapidly growing company
An eye for detail and diligence to ensure accuracy of systems and processes
Excellent analytical, communication and influencing skills
Understanding of international tax regime (preferred).
