Healthcare is a $4.5 trillion industry with more than $500 billion spent annually on administrative costs, and Commure is at the heart of transforming it. We power over 500,000 clinicians across hundreds of care sites nationwide – more than $10 billion flows through our systems and we support over 100 million patient interactions. With new product launches on the horizon, expansion into additional care segments, and a bold vision to tackle healthcare's most pressing challenges, our ambition is to move from upstart innovator to the industry standard over the next few years.

About the Role
We are hiring a highly technical operator to build and improve automation across denial and rejection workflows at Commure.
This role is focused on reducing manual work in some of our most operationally intensive processes. You will help implement and scale workflows that prevent denials before submission, automate parts of denial and rejection resolution, and improve the reliability and efficiency of how claims are worked over time.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role for someone comfortable working across operations, data, and technical implementation. You will use SQL, APIs, scripts, internal tools, and AI-based workflows to launch automations, monitor performance, investigate failures, and improve systems already in production.
A large focus of the role will be denial and rejection workflows, but the person in this role may also support other operational areas where automation can reduce manual effort and improve efficiency as Commure scales.
What You’ll Do
Analyze RCM data and deliver actionable insights to reduce manual work and improve efficiency in our denials management workflows
Implement fully scoped out workflows such as denial prevention checks and automated correction steps using SQL, scripts and AI tools
Monitor workflow performance through dashboards, investigate failures, and refine logic to improve accuracy and reliability
Support rollout of new automation features across customers and workflows through testing and performance tracking
What You Have
1+ years of experience in technical operations, automation, systems implementation, or another highly analytical, execution-oriented role
Strong SQL skills and comfort working directly with messy operational data
Experience building or improving workflows, automations, internal tools, or technical tools using APIs, scripting, or low-code tools
High level of curiosity and Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
Experience in healthcare operations, claims, billing, or denial workflows
Experience with Python, Retool, workflow tools, internal ops systems, or AI-assisted tooling
Experience improving workflows that reduce human review or manual exception handling
Experience using LLMs or agent-based systems in operational environments
Commure is committed to creating and fostering a diverse team. We are open to all backgrounds and levels of experience, and believe that great people can always find a place. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations to all applicants throughout the application process.
